Meet the Doctor
Katherine Guilfoyle, DDS, MS, is a Board‑Certified Periodontist who has practiced in the Capital Region since 2014. Originally from Mount Sinai, NY, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, graduating summa cum laude from the University of Rhode Island. She went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, where she was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society and served as class president for four years.
Dr. Guilfoyle completed her three‑year residency in periodontology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, serving as chief resident in her final year and earning both a certificate and a Master of Science in Periodontology. She subsequently achieved board certification through the American Board of Periodontology.
Dr. Guilfoyle believes that the impact of a smile is immeasurable and is dedicated to helping patients improve and maintain the health of their periodontium—the foundation of that smile. Outside the office, she enjoys running, hiking, and exploring a new interest in cycling. She also loves spending time with her family, often cheering on her four children at their various sporting events and activities alongside her husband.
